After four months, nothing has been changed to fix this incredibly dangerous situation: Sand build-up around these transformers could prevent them from cooling properly. If they fail, our emergency-response communications network would suffer a catastrophic failure. Even if they do not fail, their longevity is being compromised. But hey, it’s not like it’s their money. The taxpayers are always good for it.
